Yosemite National Park Information

Welcome to Eastern Madera County, the gateway to Yosemite National Park and home to CENTURY 21 Ditton Realty.

Yosemite National Park is the jewel of the Sierra Nevadas.  Discovered in 1851 by the Mariposa Battalion, the region gained National Park status on October 1, 1890.  Today, visitors to the area may enjoy spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife, nature hikes, camping, golfing, fishing, snow skiing, rock climbing and world class accommodations.

Wintertime in Yosemite is truly a magical experience.  Try out the slopes at Badger Pass Ski Resort or take a long walk along a snow covered meadow, then pass the evening with a great meal and fine wine at the Ahwahnee Hotel or the historic Wawona Hotel.

Be sure not to miss Yosemite Falls, Vernal Falls, Nevada Falls and Bridalveil in April and May.  Spring runoff turns these waterfalls into thundering, breath stealing wonders.
